FDEA NETWORK FORUM & AWARDS

The UK’s top food and drink exporters gathered for an inspiring day of celebration, connections, and insights at the Export Awards & Network Forum 2025.

The awards were announced at the FDEA Network Forum, an insight-rich full-day programme, where attendees benefited from peer-to-peer connections and insights, expert guidance, practical advice to support their exports and valuable market intelligence.  FDEA was delighted to welcome the Minister for Exports, Sir Chris Byrant MP, who took the time to engage directly with delegates.

Exporters and service providers benefited from networking throughout the day, exchanging experiences and building connections that will support their continued expansion in international markets. The event provided a collaborative platform for exporters to gain fresh strategies, share best practices, and strengthen their competitive edge on the global stage.

The event welcomed new FDEA directors, Katie Birrell and Barney Mauleverer who unveiled exciting plans for the association under their new directorship from 1 January.

Winners of the biggest accolade of the day, FDEA Exporter of the Year, was Scottish biscuit manufacturer, Walker’s Shortbread.  They also picked up the Bakery Exporter of the Year Award. Judges were impressed by the scale of their ambition and the sophistication of their global strategy helping them to achieve extraordinary international growth, building a presence in nearly 100 markets, whilst remaining true to the values, craft and heritage that make their brand loved at home and abroad.
